Most referrals are level 1 (see PCAS Aims page ) and involve an assessment by a speech and language therapist only. Sometimes, advice on ICT (Information & Computer Technology ) is also required, or physical access to a computer/communication aid. In each of these cases, the additional support of the ICT support or occupational therapist may be required. The whole team may need to be involved when the child has complex needs, involving support for mobility, computer and communication.
