PCAS COURSES
PCAS runs several courses throughout the year, for classroom staff, therapists, and parents and carers. The courses are not specifically for one group, but are open to all those involved with working or caring for children with communication difficulties

This is a 2 hour workshop for parents, school staff & speech and language therapists (SLTs) who are included in developing talking/communication (symbol) books for children as means of communication.
This workshop includes case presentations & the opportunity to programme the aids, and a practical ideas session on implementation. This wokshop runs twice a year.
The Communication Aids Supply Committee (CASC) run regularRoad Shows in the UK to demonstrate it's member's products, and to act as a forum to discuss areas of common interest, and to address issues relating to the communication and industry. PCAS runs a CASC day once every two years.
Full day courses are run once or twice a year, aimed at implementing Augmentative & Alternative Communicatioin (AAC) in schools or at home.
PCAS can run whole day/half day or 2 hour workshops at your own location, tailor-made to suit your children & needs.
Communication Aid Suppliers run specific training days at PCAS approx. 2-3 times a year.
